Our
workhorse kneepad has been refined for improved function, comfort, durability and
appearance.
1.
The all-important in-house non-slip strap design is a hi-tech
combination 3 inch elastic-loop* strap with a foldover
hook** assembly that grabs the elastic-loop firmly from both sides; wide and
flexible so that it can be tight, yet comfortable. (An extra strip of hook is
added on the body to hold the tail of the strap in place).
2. The body is a protective
neoprene sandwich - full width of ¼ inch neoprene (that is wide enough to wrap
and protect the outsides of your knee-leg), with a solid 3/8 x 4 inch strip
(all Rubatex) down the middle from top to bottom
(allowing for maximum protection where is it most needed. This is all inside a coated 1000d Cordura shell and a choice of backings.
3. Despite the armour-like
construction, the kneepad is quite comfortable because of an after-assembly
modification that forms a knee curve matching your own- preventing the
flexible, thinner side panels from gapping or slipping and helping to hold the
kneepads in place.

(b) Super draining coated nylon mesh that is not gentle on your knees
but preferred by many for wet, muddy caving.
Besides
a choice in backing, you can choose to have a 3 x 12 inch strip of heavy duty
nylon webbing as extra protection on the center panel of your kneepads for an
extra charge of $5.00.
